This may not be the "correct" forum for this question but I have faith in the autodesk graphics gurus to give me some truth! I am at a loss with windows color handling when in 256 color mode. I am developing an app in MMtoolbook to be used in 256 color mode. I need to include several 256 color flcs & other bitmaps & vector graphics in the app. I create my vector drawings in coreldraw and would like to access a pallette created in toolbook so my vector objects do not have dithered fills. Is there a standard pallette format that can be exchanged between windows apps? I see a common file extension (*.pal) in coreldraw and mmtoolbook but I cant open a toolbook *.pal in corel & visa-versa. Also, when I attempt to open the aawin.pal pallette from toolbook, I get a message that it's not a RIFF pallette? also is there any significance to a 96 color pallette that toolbook shows? does anyone know of a text file primer on windows pallettes on compuserve?
