Typical values for some 2-minute animations are:
FLC: 10 to 20 MB total over about 2,000 frames, average delta or frame update
values on the order of 5 to 10 KB, playing fullscreen smoothly in DOS at
640×480 at 15 fps.
WAV: Corresponding 8-bit soundtrack uncompressed at about 5 MB.
Production such as these play smoothly in sync in Windows player only if I
reduce the resolution (i.e., screen size) of the flic to about 1/3 and played
the sound from a ram drive.
Hardware: 486-DX50 ISA bus.
