I already reduced the color resolution to 256 to save memory. << this could be resulting from anything. strip your system's configuration files down to a bare minimum with files, buffers, a shell statement, and a device for HIMEM. see if it works. then start piecing your CONFIG.SYS file back together. make sure you have no lost clusters on your harddisk (use CHKDSK/F if needed), and make sure you have plenty of free harddisk space (try 30MB for starters) to open your 4 movies. the more you open, the bigger the temp files. -dave
