Cyrus, That''s a interesting situation you have there. It's possible that later versions of MS Video for Windows are not compatible with certain graphics cards. To be sure of this, you might want to use the later version and try playing back .AVI files in the Media Player or Animator Player. If you get GPFs then, we've found the culprit. As far as using the earlier version of MSVIDEO with Animator Studio, the only benefit I was aware of were some speed increases. Other than that, you should be OK.
