Kyle: I've a building site of which I am rendering both stills and a drive-by (shooting w/ camera only<g>). I've got some shadow-casting spots that I've used the Pyros Sun IPAS on. I used the Sun IPAS to generate lights on paths for the months of June and December to allow me to do some shadow-study stills. Now, I obviously don't want the sun to be moving an hour's worth for each frame of my drive-by, but I DO want a proper sun angle. So, what I would LIKE to do is move to the frame where the June sun is, say, at its 2 o'clock position and snapshot it. Then, I can turn off the animated spot, and have a non-moving (yet properly placed light) for my animation. As it is, I have to create a new light and go through the IPAS routine again. (Or I suppose I could copy tracks and then move the key I want to keep to frame 0 and delete the others.) It's not THAT big a hassle, but I don't know why it shouldn't be possible to snapshot. In fact, what's kind of annoying is that 3Dund that lights and cameras aren't supported. Dave (By the way, nice volumetric shadows!)
