>> Still no luck with the boolean operations. I just can't drill a hole in a tube. I tried fliping the normals and unifying the normals with no luck. Any help would be appreciated. This does not seem like it should be that hard!. Thanx in advance — At times, booleans, in my experience, just won't work. There are things you can do to massage the geometry to make it more LIKELY to succeed, but I've had some meshes that could never be resolved. The biggest thing you need to do is to increase the number of faces, and adjust the geometry such that the faces aren't any longer and skinnier than need be; that interferes with boolean operations. If you have YG'ss OPTIMIZE, that can help. I haven't read ahead to see what else might have been suggested, so these things may be explained better than I could. But keep in mind… the best we can hope for is that 3DS5 will have some quantum leaps in boolean accuracy.
