#Razor Pro on a 486?
I'm trying to design a lab for 3 visual art departments to use. We've got 3DS,
6-486's, 1 P-90 pentium, and a PAR. I'm concerned that if I put the PAR in the
Pentium (which will be the most heavily used by our savy users for Photoshop)
we will limit our ability to net render 3DS. I could put it in a 486 and use
the Pentium as a slave renderer. Is Razor Pro on a 486 a ridiculous idea?
(I'm not anticipating much video editing use by more than a few faculty over
the next semester, mostly the PAR would be used for 3DS animations and
capturing single frames of video for further manipulation.)
(Oh yes, BTW, being an educational institution I can't wait for the next
generation of anything, these funds were petitioned a year ago and the
specifics of the request can't be changed. :*( )
Thanks for any ideas.
