Rendering To Tape
All,
I'm a DP in Video currently working on completing what could be my memorial
demo reel(no, not really). My wife who is graphic artist has graciously
consented to do my slates in version 3.0. I need(underscore this word) those
animated slates in order to fulfill my grand concept and the flick rendering
using a consumer grade scan converter made by TelevEyes, it just doesn't fit
into my dream scape.
I suppose the next step is to render it frame by frame exporting it as a TARGA
file–by-the-way if I'm getting any of this wrong please feel free to enlighten
me. My guess at this point is that I'm at looking anywhere between 21 an 35
seconds of animation. While my preference for video formats leans towards
rendering onto BETA SP, I would certainly not turn by nose up at SVHS.
Afterall, I could always bump up if needs be.
Anyway, anyone out there willing to translate my vision, and my wife's, into
some minimal cash?? We live in Brooklyn so I would prefer something in driving
distance. I could give it to you on a Bernoulli 150 or Colorado 250. Ofcourse,
I'm still open to other equipment solutions, but based upon what I've read they
look highly dubious and potentially costly.
Here goes my bottle in the ocean. Feel free to E-mail if you prefer.
