Dave, answers to a couple of your questions <<no HIMEM or EMM386 being used (for now), right?>> Wrong <G> I have HIMEM/EMM386 installed. I have Qemm 386 (Don't know what version) that I can install. Memory management is not my long suit by any stretch of the imagination. I don' t know how to remove the HIGHMEM and EMM386 but will study the reference material I have. Do you want me to install the QEMM then? >> << do you have a CDROM installed?>> Yes << <brand and model?> Sony CDU33A >> <<what video card are you using>> Artist Graphics XJ1000 << <<do you have a spare standard SVGA card around anywheres? do you have the VESA drivers for it? a quick swap out might tell us instantly if this is a graphics/memory-related problem.>> I have an Orchid Pro Designer II in a 486/66 but only have 16 Megs of RAM in it and I would have to load AniPro into it. (which I will gladly do if you think this will help solve this) << also (just so's i can say i asked) have you contacted Artist and asked them about this weirdness and handed them the symptoms? do they have new drivers for it and any clues?>> No, but I will do so tomorrow <<any other drivers supplied for this card including VESA or non ADI?>> I don't think so. I configured my present setup with the telephoned instructions from Artists…so I don't know if there are alternate drivers available <<does the program seem to behave itself when the first flic is manipulated only (try busting the first flic into 2 using flic/segment), save out as separate files, then join them back together…>> This worked well << bust the second flic in half, save out as two separat files and join first to first flic>> This also worked <<, then second… we'll see if its a flic size thing.>> This did not work..the computer locked up I guess it is a memory thing….please tell me what you want me to do next. Paul
