I understand what you say, but one thing is blocking some things of what you want to do. That is money, you will find very few people that will pay for a world that does not exist in reallity at this time, only the game developpers. I guess they should turn more to us architects doing 3D-worlds it would be great. It is true what you say why 3D is mostly done, I design most of the buildings and visualize them mysself or I visualize buildings for other architects or builders. However it that way it is seen as a tool, but in the architectural branch it is still underused and certainly underpayed, advantages however can be great on many fronts: selling a project, even control of the project in 3D, also showing the workman that build a building what it looks like because they mostly do not know and often do not care.
