The message Ted sent you is the generic response to this problem, and the problem of vertices being scattered everywhere at random. Both are signs that the 3ds.exe file has been corrupted. Based on the previous message base, the three top reasons for this corruption is: (1) the user is using a cracked copy of 3ds, (2) a virus is playing games with your files, and (3) your hard disk/controller is acting up on you. So Ted's response was the diplomatic version <g>. If possible, I would first do a virus check on the 3ds floppies, and then try installing 3ds on another computer just to see if it runs. If it runs there, the problem is definitely with your machine. Best bets of a cause would be hard disk, controller, bios memory shadowing, external cache. Your dealer ought to be able to help you sort all of this out. LAM
