Windows 95 takes more control of the hardware than Windows 3.1 does. It sounds
like what is happening is that you are trying to share the parallel port
between a printer and your hardware lock. Windows 95 is probably blocking
access to 3DS because it has assigned the parallel port to the printer. Your
best option would probably be to purchase an additional parallel port card for
the machin so the hardware lock can have a dedicated port.
Also, as a beta tester for Windows 95, you should report this issue to
Microsoft.
