Yeah the performance is pretty sluggish. I noticed a lot of dicussion about
R4 under NT on the internet as well as here and that's what prompted my
research. With any luck, others on the forum might discover techniques to
improve the performance.
There was some half-correct information floating around out there and I
wanted to bring it all together in one place for those who were interested.
The only practical application that I can think of won't be valid until 3DS
for NT ships. Then you could use this technique to fire up 3DS R4, if you
needed to, without rebooting your system. I certainly wouldn't recommend
this for any real work.
