Try this:
Render to JPG from 3DS.
Use dos copy command to copy the JPG's directly to the PAR.
Seems to me I did this in the past with good result. The potential problem is
the double compression, once by 3DS and again by the PAR. You will tend to get
more artifacts with this method.
