Davey: To transfer data over the phone directly from TEXT to another Model 100 is really quite easy: just be sure one modem is set to answer and the other to originate. The sender goes into the TEXT file to send, hits the <F3> key and types MDM:7i1e. The recipient creates a new TEXT file, hits the <F2> key, also types MDM:7i1e and makes sure to hit <Enter> first. That's all there is to it. You can go back to your voice conversation when you're through. You can do the same thing in BASIC–and you avoid having to create an ASCII version of your tokenized program. This happens to be one of the few suggestions on the Model 100 I've ever published (Portable 100, December 1984, pp. 22-23). Thanks for giving me an excuse to say it again…Rick
