Larry,
Don has it right on the money. The cable I bought from Radio Shack was a
standard modular handset cord. The non standard issue, is that the cable!
from Timesaver is wired 180 degrees out of phase to the connectors and since
power and ground pins are at 1 and 4, these are reversed with a standard
modular handset cord. The reason why I called it an engineering error is
because, they could have wired these signals correctly on the pcb so you
could never make the mistake.
