I've heard rumors that the FFS has a serious bug that requires a major
rewrite. Something about HD crashes that involve several partitions.
According to the gossip on the local boards, the rewrite will slow the FFS
down considerably. Given that 1.4 is following so close on the heels of 1.3,
my unreliable source claims that 1.3 may never be released. Anybody out
there have any SOLID info on this?
