Picture before you someone who has never had much contact with a computer. And
now there is the overall feeling that your job depends on your learning how to
use it. Anxiety is now increased. It's very easy to blame anything going
wrong on the computer's software or hardware thus enabling the individual to
stop learning until proven otherwise. Thus enter a known name brand IBM. Why
would someone buy a FORD over a HONDA automobile. I know that the HONDA is
better (and often more expensive) but if I hadn't known someone with one what
would I be driving today instead? Also advertising helps. It also helps to
address the business market since that is really where the high quantity
computer dollar comes from. But with the current state of the Amiga I couldn't
suggest to a client to purchase one unless their only purpose was graphic based
presentations. While that is a valid market I believe that it to be a very
small one where that is the sole purpose of the machine. I believe that when
the 2000 can work in harmony with and actually aid the functioning of a 80×86
bridgecard then that will be a viable tool. But the user interface must be at
a very simple level and be price competitive with clones (C= can't compete at
big name price levels because they don't have a big name in the computer
industry). A 386 bridgecard would probably allow for a better profit level.
