Ultima IV
Well you can do "bad" in Ultima and play the game, but you won't be able to
finish it. The game is trying to teach you something – I don't have a problem
with that. I don't think it's like every other RPG – it keeps track of
variables of your morality based on what you do in great detail – at least in
this kind of game. There are 8 virtues with specific things to do – and also
questions that are asked "Are thou the greatest warrior of the Realm" for
instance.
I don't know of anything with that kind of depth yet…
