Hi There! Read Me!
Hi Bill!
Whap! and Access! should co-reside. I haven't tried it though. If you
delete the unnecessary stuff from your WB disk and put Whap! on it you should
have approximately 45% of the disk space free. In this case, however, I
wouldn't suggest going wild with getting all messages from 10 forums. You're
going to run out of room. Whap! is really great to run from hard disk where
you don't have to worry about space. It works well with a 2 floppy system. I
don't think it would run from a 1 floppy system without a lot of
inconveniences. I have not tested a 1 floppy system.
Another page of forums? A consideration for the second registered
version. The first registered version will be what you have now minus the
annoying guilt screen plus any minor bug fixes or cosmetic changes that get
reported in the next 2-3 weeks.
Since I don't have access to Sysop Forum I don't know first hand. But,
the sysops here who have been testing this thing report that it works fine.
When the More ! prompt is seen Whap! automatically sends out a <cr>. Try it and
let me know.
What is the name of the disk you have Whap! on? It should be called
WHAP. If the disk is named WHAP or you've done an ASSIGN WHAP: DF0:<diskname>,
View!, and all of the other necessary Whap! related files will live quite
happily in that directory. If you got it to reside comfortably in another
directory, great! But it does not have to be there.
I forgot the icon!? Yeah, well, I would. I don't use WB much. I'll
upload it a bit later.
Best,
