#Order of Operations
I vote for marked messages FIRST. I want to see them as soon as possible, to
bring them to my attention.
I also vote for having them appear twice. Why? What if someone messages you
and you can't noodle out what he's talking about out of context? That's
happened to me several times, and I just defer replying to that message until
it comes up again later, in the thread context later in the session. THEN I can
see what the fuss is about, and write a (sometimes) sensible reply.
