Tim,
Sounds like you were hitting the carrier correctly, just from the wrong
direction. The 'Loop and Land' is the quickest I know of, but circling will
work. There IS a minimum time you have to be aloft, or so it seems. I just
ran through it as quickly as I could and failed the qualify. The limit seems to
be about 45 seconds. Anything shorter and you don't qualify.
