Commodore from placing an ad, or cause development of a new piece of
hardware or software to be delayed, then it's not worthwhile.
Ethan,
Thought I'd 'hi-lite' that one. I really can't remember a CBM product coming
out when promised. As for the ad arguement, that doesn't really hold water
either (considering the poor (or nonexistant) quality of their ad campaigns).
I might mention too that CBM use to be represented here on CIS (CBM forums), as
well as QLink (don't know if they support either now).
I consider being online just another form of advertising. CIS (alone) has over
500,000 users now. That's a lot of prospective customers. CBM has a great
product in the Amiga line, but if people don't know about it, they aren't going
to buy it. (I've already documented here at least one case where a major music
software developer had NO IDEA a computer like the Amiga existed.)
Regards,
Allen
