You may be smiling soon…if what was in the editorial section of Info
magazine is true. According to info, in their rumours section… <I havent
read it, but it was read over the phone to me>, and with all the proper
disclaimers attached….it says that Hewlett Packard has discussed
Commodore as an acquisition target. The name has come up several times, and
they are apparantly looking to shore up the low end of their product line,
now that they have taken over Apollo and have a good high end workstation
lineup. Apparantly some HP engineers are pretty hot on amiga technology. I
have no idea whether what info reported was true, but at the current price
of CBU stock, considering their cash on hand, and cash flow….a takeover
doesnt seem like such a silly idea.
