I'm not sure that MNP has been around long enough to have standardized the AT
command set around it. The Practical Peripherals PM2400SA, for example,
doesn't have ATDTN listed in the manual. Instead, you set the mode before the
dialout using AT\Nx, where x is from 0 to 3. 0 is direct mode, 1 is normal
Hayes (equivalent to your ATDT mode), 2 is MNP reliable (equivalent to ATDTM),
and 3 is MNP automatic (equivalent to ATDTN).
Does Hayes have an MNP modem yet? I haven't heard of it. If not, I wonder if
when they release one all other "Hayes compatible MNP" modems will be outmoded
because of their AT defacto standards status?
