I have not used Excel or Lotus 3.0 because I do not wish to scrap all of my perfectly fine turbo XT equipment just to run a spreadsheet. All of my other software has no problems with my clones. I do know that Plan/IT is modeled after Excel, with many Amiga enhancements. I wouldn't touch the initial release of Lotus version 3. Version 2 was mainly a bug-fix, and it was a mess (hence the hurried release of version 2.01). Also, Plan/IT cannot read Lotus macros, but can record its own. Try doing that on Lotus before version 3! Sir, I assume you own an Amiga. That automatically makes you a person who rejects "yesterday's technology", whether you like it or not. The fact is that it is not useful to have a "Lotus clone" running on the Amiga because people who are interested in running Lotus are going to want to buy an MS-DOS machine. They are not going to want to play with Dos-2-Dos to transfer files over. The only other possibility for these people is to buy an Amiga 2000 series with BridgeBoard, and then they'll borrow the copy of Lotus from work. I feel the programmer(s) of Plan/IT made the best decision by giving us all the Amiga bells and whistles, along with the ability to read and write Lotus 1A and 2.01 templates. Plan/IT's macro capability far exceeds Lotus'. I feel it would be a joke to cripple the program in order to read Lotus' \X commands.
