Yasushi, I'm not certain what you can get for 10000YEN over there, but, I'll give you my personal experience. I upgraded my 1 meg A500 by adding a 20 MEG Autoboot HD first (and you definitely want AUTOBOOT) and then adding an extra 2 meg of RAM. I've not been sorry that I chose that order of expansion. I did it that way because, in my application, I was having to reboot too often when changing applications, since one Workbench diskette couldn't be expected to hold all the "#?.library" files and device handlers, etc., that are required. Of course, since everybody's usage is a little bit different, so "your mileage may vary." 8) I found the 1 meg RAM + Autoboot HD to be a workable configuration, but a bit limiting in the multi-tasking area because you end up with about 750K left after a "moderately sized" system startup. (By that I mean just a couple of background programs and an FFS partition overhead on the Hard Disk.) Also, there was little memory left over for things like ram-disks, which are still useful for temporary files, compiling, etc. Hope that this helps. 8) David
