Thanks for your reply. WARP and UNWARP didn't work. The file I was trying
to uncrunch was CMA13.wrp from Lib. 4. "UNWARP BBS:CMA13/CMA13.wrp" printed
the prompt to put the destination isk in DF0 and <Return>. Doing so
resulted in a requester to insert vol. BBS, which already was. Selecting
"retry" was to no avail. Repeating the process killed the mouse & keyboard.
Rebooting (again and again, I spent hours trying more possibilities), I
tried "UNWARP DF0:CMA13/CMA13.wrp" and got a message like "not a DOS disk."
I tried "WARP write BBS:CMA13/CMA13.wrp" and uncrunching started but failed
on track 22 with a CRC error. The download of CMA13.wrp was without any
errors noted by Dr.Term, not even any retries on any blocks. Same with
WARP.zoo. So all this is an F.Y.I. to you of my opinion that UNWARP
definitely and WARP [write] maybe got bugs. Couple of months ago you were
going to mention my suggestion to Jim Butterfield to write a book on
machine language for the Amiga patterned after his book for the C-64. I
realize it would be a big job considering the Amiga's complicated O.S. If
you ever got a reply I'd like to hear. Thanks for your interest.
