As a matter of fact I didn't have trouble uncrunching .arc, .lzh or .zoo files the first time. Thanks for writing out the instructions to unpack a .wrp file. Worked. But if you read my note to Betty of 7/6 you will see tht I already did all that (yuh … about your "and read it" comment). What I didn't mention was that I use the ram disk in place of the boot disk to establish an intrinsic DOS. My custom startup-sequence copies an abridged set of commands from sys: to the ram disk and reASSIGNs sys:c to Ram:c, etc. Seems the problem was WARP tried to find an external reference that didn't exist in the defined path. Using your method for UNWARP still doesn't work for me. The drive never stops after the prompt to put the blank disk in DF0. I didn't upgrade to 1.3 when it first came out because I read (and was also recently told by an Amiga dealer) that it was only worth buying if one had a hard disk, to take advantage of the fast file system. More recently I've read some things that make me think that was bad advice. I was going to buy it last fall but heard 1.4 would be out soon. So I waited. When it (or 2.0?) is released I will upgrade.
