Brian, I suspect that we have different Amiga 2000 manuals. Mine is entitled "Introduction to the Commodore Amiga 2000" Copyright 1987. The schematics are on pages F-3 through F-12 (there is no F-14 here!) The drawings also do NOT have any revision or date information on them ("see sheet 1" they say, and sheet 1 doesn't have any info either!) According to my schematics, it looks like (from page F-8) the mouse connections (J11 and J12) head into U74 (a 74hct157), with connections also to ground via 0.01p CAPs, and to 5v via 27K resistors (RES pack RN11). After all that, the signals head (indirectly) to both PAULA and DENISE. I think what I will do is take my 2000 to the dealer, and agree to buy the 8520 when he shows me that replacing it actually makes a difference!
