Since MIDI is a fairly universal format, any synth you use will
'work' with MusicX. I run MusicX myself with a Roland RD-300 piano, a Korg
DW-8000 and a Roland MT-32. The only thing you may have problems with is
finding out protocols for the Librarian section. Myself, I don't use the
thing because I have an editor/librarian program for the other synths. So
basically you're just looking for a synth module to sound great, right?
There's lots out there. I've got my eye on the Korg M3R, which you might
want to check out for yourself. Hope this helps…
