Chris,
I believe you can OpenLibrary() exec.library if you like. However, you can
easily find out its version number by examing the ExecBase struct itself.
i.e. Exec's version number is: ExecBase->LibNode.lib_Version
Of course, you never actually _need_ to OpenLibrary() exec.library since
OpenLibrary() itself is in exec.library, and wouldn't work if you didn't
already know what ExecBase is… and that is what OpenLibrary() returns to
you. (grin)
