I'd be suprised if there is any hardware problem running the ARP commands; a lot of people have used the ARP commands under V1.3 of ADOS with various CPU's and configurations. Most likely if there is a hardware problem either your machine is broken, or the OS (V1.3) is broken. If you're running under V2.0 of ADOS, you should probably use the ADOS Mount command; I removed Mount from my V1.4/V2.0 development machine last fall and haven't tried it since. In general I'd treat the ARP commands pretty much like any other application you want to run under ADOS V2.0. We will be doing a somewhat formal compatability review of the ARP commands with ADOS V2.0? sometime after Commodore releases the "final" V2.0 OS (an official release of ADOS V2.0 for systems other than A3000's). Regarding why some users of arp.library might not break, even though some of the specific ARP commands break; arp.library has about 50 different functions, and there are about 50 different ARP commands. They're related in name, but each piece is independent just like all of the pieces of AmigaDOS are independent. There are hundreds of known bugs in AmigaDOS, but there are also lots of programs which are not effected in any way. You might think of it like a car; you don't need to replace the engine and drivetrain to fix a flat tire.
