Joe Kuzma answered your questions in message #17859. If you have
any additional questions, please feel free to ask. In the future, if you
address the messages, to 76004,3350 (my ID#) the system will flag the
message as waiting for me to read. Regarding the color splitters, if you
wish to digitize off of an existing video source, such as a LaserDisc or
VCR, you would need a color splitter to get color images. Black and White
images can be done without a color spliter, but in some cases the image can
be improved by using a color splitter device. NewTek does not make or
endorse any unit, but two popular units on the market are the MicroSearch
Color Splitter (formerly the SunRize Industries Color Splitter) and the
PRO-RES Still Video Interface by The Desktop Advantage.
