Betty, Thanks for your concern. I had ordered the chip from The Grapevine group (they advertise in Amiga World) due to the fact that they include the chip extractor for no charge. ($99.95 for the Chip + free extractor). I wouldn't dare attempt to remove it with a screwdriver. I successfully installed the Fatter Agnus last night, and now have a whopping 1 meg of Chip memory available for my use. The installation was simple, and took only 7 minutes to complete. I was informed by my local dealer that it was a tough job, and to let them perform the task instead – but I insisted otherwise. Pulling the chip out was simple. It requires some dexterity, and I can see how one may damage the socket. The modifications were simple, two traces need to be cut, and one trace needs to be soldered. Anyhow, it works, and I'm happy!
