Tom, I've got a 10/14/89 version. I think the problem is tied to accnts that are fed by auto transactio that are also split or possibly the problem comes in when the transactions for that account are editted. I haven't been able to figure out the pattern yet and get the same number as the program. I have figured out (partially) the .act files and have patched the correct balance in a couple of times, but when I add another monts worth of checks and reconcile the balance is off by some wierd amount again. wmc
