Harry, I've messed with the guts of my equipment before, but not to the extent that you talk about. For example, I've deterimined that I have to buy a new fan for the power supply. Mine is a bit stickey. But I've never had to cut a trace before. I've heard horror stories about people pulling up entire traces, and their source traces by accident. I'm also not sure how to test the continuity across the trace other than perhaps with a multimeter which I don't have. I know I could cut a good chunk out of the trace, but there could be trace e elements left over which could still ruin the cut. Hmmm, maybe I'll check out the price of having one installed at the shop. Thanks for the info. Paul
