The 3000 is certainly available now. I have had mine for about a month. I've been using the machine with a narrow range of productivity programs –mainly 3DPro, Silver, Terrain, Vista, CEDPro — but they all work fine. I tested the 3000 against my game collection and the results were much less encouraging — less than half ran. There is no way I know of to slow the 3000 down. This does cause trouble for some of the games that do work. Better Dead Than Alien is very significantly sped up, for example. The hard drive comes partitioned so you can boot either 1.3 or 2.0. You can reformat to eliminate the 1.3 partition if you want. -Brian
