OK, you wanna give out some help on AmigaVision? Tackle this one!
For eons, I have wanted to make an application that would selectively
run through demos of the Amiga's capabilities, mixing all versions of
pictures, animations, sound files, songs, etc. I know this is a horrendous
task, given different file-formats, etc, but AV is very close by allowing
passing lines of CLI out of AV. My problem is that I can launch tasks out
this way but cannot terminate them if they don't stop themselves. Like
sending out an ESC char after sending out "DynaShow Space.pic". This goes
double for animations that can't be told to loop a number of times or for
so many seconds. There are an awful lot of non-ANIM5 anims out there, and
I've had only limited success converting them.
So: Can you tell me how to send out a character to a previously launched
task to terminate it?
