#Workbench 2.0
[Sysop: I lost my CompuServe Navigator section titles listing for this
forum, so I'm shooting in the dark. Navigator will grab them as this is
uploaded, so I will have them next time. For now, please move this message
to the proper section. The following message deals with the Amiga operating
system.]
There is something that my son would like brought to the Amiga users
attention. He currently has an Amiga 2000 & is using the program 'ZKICK' to
load in the KickStart 37.175 and WorkBench 37.52.
There is one major problem that should be noted and sent to the people
that are writing the Amiga O.S. On both the MAC and the ST you can use an
"expand box" to surround a group of files, then hold down the shift key to
de-select any files that you do not want selected. On the Amiga, once the
files are selected you cannot de-select one file from the group. This is a
major short-coming that deserves attention.
Another note on the above is that when you select a group of files on
the Mac or Atari, all you need do in order to grab/drag all of them is to
click and hold on any one of the selected files. On the Amiga, you must
also hold down the shift key; otherwise, the file you click on will be
selected and all the other files will be de-selected.
Thanks, —GeM
