I tried to stick a b/w logo onto a pane of glass using filter mapping for a "frosted glass" effect. Unfortunately, I can't get it to work. The logo is black letters on a white background, in order to have the background totally transparent. This works well, maintaining the glass' attributes. (It's slightly opaque) However, I can't get the letters to come out white! I even tried adding a color map, with the reversed image (white letters on black), to no avail. The letters come out dark grey, which is probably black lightened by my Globals ambient light of 75,75,75. So, how can I get white letters? Also, in Map Master, Louis Markoya says you can't combine maps except by using Altitude along with one of the other three. Is this true? I was hoping to use Filter and Color to add some color elements to a Filter map, or some other similar combination. Blaq! – via Whap!
