At the present time, DEC is hawking a line of very PC compatible computers in addition to their extensive line of minicomputers. I fail to see what advantage either DEC or C= would get out of an alliance, although one similarity comes to mind; neither company knows how to market to a wide consumer audience (remember the DEC Rainbow?). Borland is already formidable, but I doubt it'll ever be another Microsoft. Neither Quattro Pro or Paradox is number one in sales in its respective category (spreadsheet and database), and Turbo Pascal's market is too small to make significant impact. Over the flight pattern… – via Whap!
