Yes, Commodore is taking a long time releasing 2.0 … but there are two
good reasons for that … one is that they really are trying to make it as
good as they can … two is that they are also having to write things into
it to help some software houses (who didn't do everything quite by the
book) make their 1.3 software work.
My own feeling is that Commodore has only made one mistake with 2.0 … and
that is allowing news of it get out before it was ready. Unfortunately,
that would have been difficult to prevent … not all developers are able
to keep it to themselves and they also wanted to ship it with the 3000.
