I can't give you a comprehensive list of Amiga video products, but I can
tell that I've been using an amiga for a feww years in an
industrial/educational setting.
I think your first step should be a definition of "desktop" video. Does
desktop include using a computer (amiga) as a character generator (Pro
video Post, BTII)? or as a switcher and effects device (toaster)? or an
edit controller plus SEG (amilink+Toaster)? or must it involve non-linear
editing, digitization, and storage of video?
The amiga seems to function in the video world as a traditional
production tool (a CG, a switcher, an edit controller) that has moved to a
general computer platform, rather than a dedicated (albeit a
microprocessor) piece of video gear.
From what I've seen of IBM & Mac "desktop video" advertising, they seem
to be suggesting something bigger (complete digitization of video signals
in place of tape).
If that's true, then you'll have to deliniate between the different
functions, and decide what is or is not "desktop" video.
