A few weeks ago, my dealer installed another 2 megs of memory on my A2620 accelerator board, bringing it up to 4 megs. Ever since he did that, my system has been plagued by random crashes which seem to be heat-related. After the system has been on for a half hour or so, the accelerator board becomes very hot to the touch. The memory chips seem OK, but the CPU, FPU, and MMU become very hot and the system will crash if I look at it the wrong way. I had thought that the problem was due to poor airflow through the Bomac tower (acquired at the same time as the memory), but moving the system back into its original case didn't solve the problem. Removing the J301 jumper, which disables the extra 2 megs, seems to have solved the problem, although that memory is gone too. Another observation: the part numbers on the new chips are not the same as the ones on the first 2 megs. I didn't write the numbers down, but I can get them if it will help to determine the problem. Can anyone offer any advice? Thanks, Mike
