[continued] Yeah, I know. I am a long-time subscriber to Video magazine. RE: "with many studios using it for animatics, animation, on-screen graphics and titling" I know that also. One of the local television stations uses Amiga generated graphics in its weather report, or so I'm told <g>. RE: "The only difficulty is in the disk drives, since the Mac is rather quirky in that it uses variable-speed drives" The latest Mac floppy drive abandoned the Steve Wozniak variable speed feature, at least in the 1.4mb format mode. Some Mac'ers were upset over this, 'cause the variable speed method would have produced 1.6mb. It's good for me and my son, though, 'cause we can utilize my Superdrive (the name of the new model) to share stuff on floppies. RE: "You'll also find that the Amiga community is also a lively one … the Amiga forums are certainly very active." I found that out some time ago, and reported that to fellow Mac'ers in the CompuServe Mac forums. I also teased a few DOS friends an colleagues over this, pointing out how dead their forums are <g>. —GeM, Mac Navigator'ing from Texas, with the assistance of Voice Navigator II, a speech recognition hardware/software solution that allows my Mac and I to communicate vocally.~~~~
