Ben – umm, put it this way then: it's know that Commodore advertised for,
and probably hired, programmers with device-independent graphics
experience.
I saw the ads myself about 6 months ago.
Urrgh. That could've been for the X-Window stuff on Unix, but I don't
think so. Partly because the ad didn't say "X" anywhere, and partly
because the engineers on usenet keep mentioning that DIG is necessary
(feels like they're warming people up to it 🙂
