Roger,
I have no idea what happened to your message, but there are 2 other
possibilities where a message can get deleted:
1. It scrolls off the forum before it's read. Around here, that
takes about a week.
2. The message was left, but the forum software crashed, and the
latest backup didn't have your message in it. Admittedly, it's very rare
when the crash is so bad things have to be restored from a backup.
