Is a company that is organized to merge a standard and drive smaller companies out of businness a violation of the Sherman Anti-Trust Act? Good grief… Actually the Sherman Anti-Trust Act is to protect businesses who charge artificially low prices to drive out competition, but the way this convoluted law is written, almost anything can be inferred.
