David- I figured out the answer to my "problem" right after I posted my message. I hard ever do a cold boot … and that's when you need to press both buttons down. I has trying it from a warm boot.. As for the monitor, it was a Packard Bell VGA monitor … when plugged in, the monitor picture would not stop rolling … like I needed to adjust the horizontal hold. I think i'll have to break down and get a 1950, as this 1084s has a problem with the pix fading. I was trying to get this new system started on a budget … and was going to hold off getting additional RAM. This was a mistake! Not even JR-COMM will run on a stock 3000 25/50 … not enough fast ram. I purchased additional RAM today, and just finished putting the machine back together. The CHIP RAM is conveniently located, but the FAST RAM access is a real pain! Ah well … still enjoying the new surroundings … Rob >>> Via WHAP!
